Service warranty.
This service warranty explains when KZOO Studio corrects an error in an agreed logo, compact identity system, visit-card website, or brand copy deliverable.
Last updated: February 21, 2025What this warranty covers
We correct a studio mistake in the agreed work, not a change of direction after approval.
The limited service warranty applies to the final deliverables KZOO Studio agreed to produce and handed over for approval. It covers a production error, an omitted agreed element, or a material mismatch between the approved decision record and the supplied file. The warranty is about correcting the work as agreed. It is not a promise of sales, rankings, traffic, leads, recognition, or any other business result.
It can apply to a logo and mark, compact brand identity design, identity design for a local business, a small business website in Kalamazoo, or a brand copywriting Kalamazoo engagement when that work is described in the agreed scope. The exact deliverables matter. A conversation about a possible addition is not an agreed deliverable.
The correction period
Report a covered defect within 30 calendar days after the final deliverables are handed over. The report should identify the file, page, text, size, link, or application where the defect appears and explain what the approved record says instead. Send the report to [email protected] or use the inquiry route.
We review the report and confirm whether it falls inside the agreed scope. If it does, we correct the affected deliverable and return the corrected file or update the affected website content. The timing depends on the number of affected files and whether access to a hosted website or third-party service is available. A short report with one clear defect moves faster than a general request to reconsider the work.
Examples of a covered defect
Examples include a supplied export using the wrong approved colour, a final logo file missing an agreed production format, an agreed page containing a typographic error introduced during production, or a website link that does not match the approved content. In brand copy, a transcription error introduced after approval can be corrected when the source wording is clear.
The correction is made against the approved decision record, final proof, or written scope. If the record says black and white for the first pass but the later approved direction is vermilion, the later approval controls. If no decision was recorded, we ask for the material that establishes what was approved rather than guessing.
What is outside the warranty
The warranty does not cover a changed brief, a new business name, a changed service offer, new legal or regulatory wording, a new page, a new audience, a new device requirement, or an additional format requested after handoff. Those may be sensible requests. They are new scope.
- A preference that changes after approval is not a production defect.
- Content supplied by the client that later turns out to be inaccurate remains the client's responsibility unless KZOO Studio introduced the error.
- Changes made by a client, hosting provider, printer, browser, plugin, platform, or other third party are not studio production errors.
- Printed colour can vary with stock, ink, process, and viewing light; a screen cannot establish a universal print match.
- Search placement, advertising performance, browser support beyond the agreed implementation, and business results are not warranted.
We refuse to call scope creep a warranty claim. That distinction keeps a small engagement honest and gives both sides a usable record of what was purchased.
Service-specific boundaries
For logo design Kalamazoo work, the warranty concerns the agreed mark direction, refinement, and production-ready exports. It does not reopen the mark because a new competitor appeared or because the owner wants a second visual route months later.
For small business website Kalamazoo work and visit-card website design, the warranty concerns the defined page count, approved content, responsive implementation, and agreed handoff. It does not include a new page, a new integration, a new content round, or repairs caused by a third-party platform change unless the original scope says otherwise.
For brand copywriting Kalamazoo work, it concerns errors against the approved brief and copy record. It does not guarantee that every reader will share the client's preferred tone. A request to make the writing more formal, warmer, shorter, or more sales-led after approval is an edit or a new brief, not automatically a defect.
Approval matters
Approval is a decision point. We show what was asked, what was chosen, and what will be handed over. Once a deliverable is approved, later feedback is evaluated against that record. Silence is not treated as an unlimited approval window; the project correspondence or scope will identify the handoff point.
Before approval, send corrections together where possible. The first pass answers the brief in black and white. The review is the place to catch a wrong fact, missing component, or production issue. A scattered stream of preference changes after handoff creates a new job and will be discussed as such.
Website access and third parties
If a correction affects a website, KZOO Studio needs the access or implementation route agreed for that project. We cannot warrant the operation of a hosting account, domain registrar, browser extension, analytics platform, advertising platform, payment service, or plugin that the studio does not control. We will identify the boundary and provide the correction that belongs to the agreed implementation when access is available.
A site may receive traffic from Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising, or Meta Ads. The warranty does not promise ad approval, campaign delivery, audience response, or a particular measurement result. Click identifiers such as gclid, msclkid, and fbclid are part of advertising measurement, not evidence of a creative defect.
How to report a problem
Send the project or business name, the affected deliverable, the exact issue, and a screenshot or file reference when useful. Include the date of handoff if you have it. Do not send passwords in the message. If the issue is urgent because a public page contains a material factual or accessibility error, say that plainly in the subject line.
We acknowledge the report, ask for any missing information, and state whether it is a covered correction, a client change, or a new scope request. Covered corrections are made without a separate creative fee. Any work outside the warranty is discussed before it begins; this site does not sell by checkout and does not present a binding price.
Keep the decision record with the files.
The handoff folder contains the approved exports, agreed page or copy references, and the information needed to report a genuine production error. Store it with the work. A local business should not have to reconstruct a logo decision from a vague presentation email.
For a new engagement, start with the services and scope page, read the Terms, and send a defined brief through Contact.
